Adventure and Visual Arts
Visual Arts + Exploration Camp is designed for campers ages 10–13 and blends creative expression with outdoor discovery. Building on the spirit of our beloved Art and Adventure program, this camp invites young artists to explore Tahoe’s pristine backcountry in search of inspiration, curiosity, and wonder.
In the studio, campers will create thoughtful and expressive works using a range of mediums, including charcoal drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, and three-dimensional art such as clay sculpture and other creations. Along the way, campers will develop foundational skills and techniques with traditional materials while also experimenting creatively with found objects and innovative tools.
All Visual Arts + Exploration sessions are led by professional art educators and skilled local artists, ensuring high-quality instruction in a supportive and creative environment.
Beyond the studio, campers will explore the vast Tahoe National Forest, hiking alpine single track, lake shores, and watershed trails that naturally spark imagination and inquiry. These outdoor experiences are worthwhile endeavors in their own right and may inform campers’ artwork throughout the camp week, and beyond.
